Desi Boyz is hit in the theaters

1. Akshay Kumar and John Abraham’s ‘garam masaaledaar’ jodi is back after six years
2. The director of this comic caper is Rohit Dhawan, son of King of Comedy David Dhawan
3. The music can be heard repeatedly and enjoyed with the same fervor
4. The trailers have already given us a taste of its fun humor
These four simple reasons are enough to find yourself sitting inside a movie hall playing Desi Boyz. Once the movie begins, begins the audiences’ laughter marathon. Filled with slick humor and amazing punches that tickle your funny bone, this movie is a must watch! Even when the lives of the protagonists are not hunky dory, we do get our regular doses of laughter! Such is the treatment used in the movie, making it an absolute delight!

Team Ra-one Rocks

Shahrukh, the producer, raises the bar for Indian filmmakers who plan to entertain the audience with SFX. That’s because the SFX skills displayed in Ra.One is completely enthralling to say the least. Whether it’s a fantasy world (like in the beginning of the movie) or the real virtual world in the climax, whether it’s a comic scene or a nail biting, exciting scene, every scene just gives out the best possible output. Not even in one scene do we subconsciously realize that it’s all special effects. The credit goes not only to the SFX team, but also the action director and of course the two main riders – Director Anubhav Sinha and Producer-actor Shah Rukh Khan. Hats off to this fabulous team for an extra fabulous output!

SRK & SFX Rock in Ra-one

The SFX in Ra.One can put the best SFX in Bollywood till date to shame. A scene we cannot skip mentioning is the one in which the entire CST station in Mumbai is blown up. It is spectacular to say the least. Action is extremely well directed, with every stunt seeming to be exciting. And when the action is backed up with the SFX, the output is simply mind blowing! Whether the action is a dream sequence or a real one, whether it is in the beginning of the movie, or the climax, one thing that is common to all of them is that it syncs with the mood of the scene thus reaching out to its audience in all the right ways!

SRK proves it again

SRK, the charmer, is back and how! And this time he has got Arjun Rampal giving him tough competition on the “Wow” factor. Each of them lights up the screen with their sheer presence. Whether it is as the geeky Tamilian scientist or as the robot like superhero, SRK is adorable in both. Although Arjun enters the movie only post interval, his presence can be felt through the ‘faceless’ Ra.One’s body language. Little boy Armaan Verma is a wonderful discovery by team SRK. This bundle of talent can easily share the screen with the biggies of Bollywood without feeling even remotely intimidated. Kareena, as usual, was a pleasure to look at. Her beauty and her acting work together to cast a spell on the audience.

RA.One-Interesting Scenes

The whole movie is worth applause, but here are some scenes that deserve a special mention!

·         The Tamilian Shekhar enjoys his Chinese Noodles with – believe it or not – curd. A South Indian twist
to the Chinese cuisine, we guess!
·         Kareena who is fed up of the fact that Hindi uses words like “maa” and “behen” for swearing is all set
to release a book full of swear words using “chacha” and “taau” as the subject!
·         The emotional scenes after the death of Shekhar have been kept subtle, yet it sensitively connects to the
       audience without fail.
·         The entire sequence after Chhammak Chhalo is nail biting yet fun and exciting!
·         A scene depicting Ra.One as the mythological ten headed Raavan has been shot with exceptional
      brilliance!

SRK as G.One

As the geeky Tamilian scientist Shekhar Subramaniyam and as the superhero G.One, SRK entices one and all with his charming smile! Though Ra.One comes into the real world in the first half itself, Arjun Rampal appears in the movie only after the interval, but personifies the evilness of Ra.One like no one else. Kareena is ravishing as ever, while the young Armaan ‘Lucifer’ Verma is one big bundle of talent as he doesn’t fall short in any way even when he is sharing the screen space with the superstars of the industry! Even actors who make a brief appearance in the movie give out a praise-worthy performance!
